Ravi Zacharias, internationally-acclaimed christian apologist, has passed away, at the age of 74. He had a brief battle with cancer and had undergone surgery to remove the cancerous growth. Despite all attempts from his doctors, the cancer metastasized and he was sent home earlier this month to spend his final days with his family. He passed on this morning

Dr. Zacharias built a ministry spanning 36years, focused on reaching and challenging those who shape the ideas of a culture with the credibility of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was known for “Let my people think”, a 30-minute program exploring issues such as life’s meaning, the credibility of the Christian message, and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.

Earlier last week, several well known ministers of the Gospel posted thank you videos and messages to express their gratitude to the man of God. Tim Tebow, professional baseball player and staunch Christian, l started the hashtag #ThankYouRavi, encouraging all who had been impacted by Dr. Ravi to share what he meant to them.

Tributes have already begun pouring in from from all over the world on social media.
