Instead of ordering your spouse to do things for you, make polite requests: “Please bring me my shirt” but NOT “Bring me my shirt!”
“Will you go with me to the Cinema” and NOT “Let’s go to the cinema.” Instead of a harsh “order”, a polite appeal affirms him/ her as a respected partner and not a ‘slave’. Be happily married for life.
