]]> The founder and president of the United Denomination Lighthouse Group of Churches, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, has urged Christians around the world to be lovers of truth in order to be safe from deception. He did this during the first day of the Give Thyself Wholly Conference, which began today, 25th August, 2020.

Quoting from Matthew 24:4 “watch out that no one deceives you” (New International Version), Bishop Dag advised believers to be conscious of the ever present danger of becoming deceived. He explained that those who are deceived are unaware that they are deceived.

He explained that to be safeguarded from the threat of deception, it is necessary to be a lover of truth. He encouraged participants to not be afraid of embracing the truth, even if it is the opposite of all that they have believed.

The Give Thyself Wholly Conference holds from 25th to 28th August, 2020, from 4am to 12 noon GMT. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the conference is being held online on Facebook, YouTube, and a host of other social media channels. The event is also being televised.

The conference, which used to be called “Iron Sharpeneth Iron”, is an annual international conference which seeks to train Pastors and Church workers. It is run under the auspices of the Dag Heward-Mills ministry.

]]> Founder and Presiding Bishop of the United Denomination Originating from the Lighthouse Group Of Churches (UD-OLGC), Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, is set to speak at Empowered 21. He revealed this on his Twitter page on 1st June. Bishop Dag will be speaking come Sunday the 7th of June, 2020.

Empowered 21 is an online congress that has occurred annually for over a decade and brings together several world-renowned christian leaders. The purpose of the event is to provide encouragement and to equip believers for impact.

This year’s edition sees 70+ speakers from across the globe, speaking on different topics but with an emphasis on getting to know the Holy Spirit’s direction for the future. It began on the 31st of May and will end on 10th June, 2020.

Each day there are two sessions held, and six different speakers, three per session.

Other speakers in this year’s event include Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the 6th Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Ghana, Daniel Kolenda, Christine Caine, Todd White and Jentezen Franklin.

He finally alluded to the fact that having a daily balanced meal of the word of God cannot be compared to a quick microwave sermon every now and then.
